  1. This is extremely late, but I must say, I adore these adorations! I used them so often when I first began worshipping Apollon. It’s lovely to come back a while later now that I can understand them more. They’re even more beautiful now.

  2. Why did these deities allow their people to abandon them in favor of Christianity? It’s like they checked out and allowed that abrahamic disease to metastasize over their land and people. Why? Did they move on somewhere else when they starved of worship and adoration like in that episode of Star Trek? lol

    • To my mind that is like asking “why did god let this horrible thing happen to me?”
In Hellenismos there is no devil, but there are the Fates, and no god could control the decree of the Fates. In the myth of Admetus Apollon could not change the fate of death for Admetus no matter how much he loved him. Only mortal actions change fate. Aclestis offered her life in his place. And the hero Herakles rescued her. We are the weavers of fate by our actions.
Christianity and the destruction it brought and suffering was not due to lack of action on the part of gods, but by the actions of humans. Humanity hurt itself, the gods were nit harmed nor did they leave us. Those gods attached to humanity likely sorrowed for us tho.
